Capacity and Preparatory Review
Following WASC's acceptance of our Institutional Proposal in December 2009, the second step in the reaccreditation process was the Capacity and Preparatory Review. WASC describes the purpose of the CPR as an evaluation of the campus's ability to fulfill the Core Commitment to Institutional Capacity, i.e., "The institution functions with clear purposes, high levels of institutional integrity, fiscal stability, and organizational structures and processes to fulfill its purposes" (WASC Handbook of Accreditation). The CPR evaluation focuses on the programs, policies, and infrastructure that will prepare the campus for the last step in the process, the Educational Effectiveness Review, which will occur in 2012.
Requirements for the CPR included the submission of a written report, followed by a site visit by a team of evaluators selected by WASC (see WASC Accreditation Visit Team Roster). The complete text of the UCI CPR Report with supporting documentation is linked to the Table of contents below. Our site visit took place April 12-14, 2011 (see WASC CPR Site Visit Schedule and WASC CPR Site Visit Sessions Roster). The Final Report of the WASC CPR Site Visit Team is linked below.
